Kenny Spracklin, BSc, CAT(C), CSCS

Kenny’s career at High Performance Inc. began in the spring of 2007 when he interned at the HPC facility as part of his bachelor’s of science program requirements.  Because of his background and passion for all things athletic, as well as his work ethic and determination, Kenny became a valuable asset to the company and is now proudly on the scene as a Performance Consultant.

Kenny Spracklin In the spring of 2008, Kenny graduated from Concordia University his Bachelor’s of Science degree with a specialization in Athletic Therapy. He then became a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in June 2008. He achieved Certified Athletic Therapist status with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association in June 2010.

Kenny has a broad spectrum of experiences when it comes to athletic endeavors. Be it challenging himself by cycling across Canada, competing in a wide range of sports such as hockey, rugby, golf, tennis, basketball, soccer, etc, or providing support to others like the Head Athletic Therapist for the Concordia Football Team, he has seen it all.  When working with his clients, he brings to the table what he’s learned through these experiences, in order to give them the edge they need to be their best.

Kenny Spracklin Kenny not only understands the physical demands that face many athletes but the surrounding elements as well.  While completing his degree at Concordia, Kenny initiated, developed and implemented the successful mentoring program supporting athlete academics for varsity sport athletes at Concordia University in Montreal. Kenny has worked with many different styles and types of athletes, ranging from professional football, hockey, golf, and baseball athletes, to Olympic ski, track, and trampoline athletes, as well as Firefighters and RCMP officers.

Kenny applies his knowledge and experience to uniquely define each client’s personal path to success. Inherent in his process is a progression for attaining the goal of each athlete, intention to correct any imbalances that might prove to be detrimental to performance, as well as a drive to improve all other aspects of lifestyle.  Fine tuning and balance are his keys to success.

Kenny loves to use motivation as a primary tool with his clients when rehabilitating them from injury or when maximizing an athlete’s performance. The “hands on” approach relies on soft tissue release and muscle energy techniques, manual mobilizations, dynamic muscle stretching and strengthening, postural control and stabilization exercises; all which play a major role in returning or improving an athlete to their optimal training state.

His enthusiasm is waiting for you.

“Kenny is continually re-defining and challenging the way I train both in the gym and on the football field. He has taken me from a typical gym rat with numerous chronic injuries, to a fully functioning dynamic athlete. With his holistic approach and sport specific programs he is continuously strengthening and balancing my body movement, enabling me to compete at my optimum level. Always there to answer a question or correct a technique, Kenny never stops working to make sure myself and his other athletes are taken care of. For anyone that has the pleasure of knowing him it’s simple; Kenny transcends athleticism.”
