Fundamental Movement Scan

The fundamental movement scan is a process of evaluating human movement patterns to determine if an individual may have defecites in flexibility, strength, or stability. At High Performance Inc. we have modified a screen developed by Gray Cooke, a physical therapist and strength and conditioning coach from the United States who developed the original method. The High Performance screen exam has been divided into two parts, and upper quadrant, and lower quadrant exam. We follow our screen with a full examination process where we test the strength, flexibility, and stability of the muscles in those regions, systematically defining weaknesses, limitation, and instability. After you leave our centre the first time, you’ll know what you have to do to improve!

We are also more than happy to assess individuals or groups of individuals for other coaches, so that they may know where their athletes lie on a development curve. If you are a coach that wants to know more about your athletes, we can help you find out.
