What To Expect: The High Performance Process

Step One: Initial appointment: Evaluation
1 – 1 ½ hours
full history
review of goals and expectations
introduction to our system
movement screen
orthopaedic assessment
development of individualized strategy to achieving goals
possible exercise prescription and/or reconditioning

Step Two: One of 3 possible reconditioning paths
Path 1 - Reconditioning
* Please note that a doctor's referral letter for ATHLETIC THERAPY is required for follow-up treatment.
Outcome of HPC evaluation and discussion is to take a reconditioning strategy to achieve goals.
This involves any or all of the following:
oMyofascial work
oMuscle Energy correction
oMuscle Activation Technique ™
oActive Isolated Stretching ™
oJoint Mobilization
oFlexibility work
oHome exercise program
oFundamental movement strategy enhancement
oEducation
oAccess to other allied health professionals

Path 2 - Training
Outcome of the HPC evaluation and discussion is to take a training strategy to achieve the goals.
This involves any or all of the following:
oGoal setting
oPlan for Progressions
oOrganization of training schedule
oSport specific tailoring
oExercise program
-Warm-up
-Movement prep
-Reconditioning
-Strength work
-PAQ
-Metabolic conditioning
-Flexibility work
-Core work
-Follow up program progressions
oRecovery strategies
oNutritional Tips
oRegular training sessions with Trainers

Path 3 - Mixture of both reconditioning and training
* Please note that a doctor's referral letter for ATHLETIC THERAPY is required for follow-up treatment.
Outcome of the HPC evaluation and discussion is to take reconditioning coupled with training strategy to achieve the goals.
This involves any or all of the tools mentioned in the reconditioning and training paths.
The percentage of each will continually be adjusted to progress appropriately for the goals set forth in the plan.

Additional Notes:
Follow-up appointments
50 minutes or 25 minutes depending on initial evaluation strategy set forward
quantity determined by the action plan set forward and progression towards goals
could be any or all of the following
oprogram demonstration & review
oimplement treatment / reconditioning / training
oreview of initial reconditioning/plan exercises/re-evaluation
oreview of recent developments

Programming
Programs will be developed to help achieve specific goals
Programs are generally progressed / modified every 4-8 weeks
Every program will be debriefed in a program demonstration follow-up session

We have a lot of experience working in collaboration with other allied health professionals and integrating into different sport systems.

Please understand that we do not have an administrative assistant. Therefore if we are working with a client, we will return any phone messages or emails at our earliest convenience.

The end of every session is reserved for booking forward with future appointments as well as for billing.
